- Feedback: When using the feedback and suggestion features in our Products, we will collect your email address, mobile phone number, and the content of your feedback in order to resolve your device issues and malfunctions in a timely manner.
Information Based on Additional Functions:
To provide you with more convenient and high-quality Services, with optimized user experiences, we may collect and use certain information if you consent to use additional functions in the App. Please note that if you do not provide this information, you can continue to use the basic Services of the App and connected Smart Devices, but certain features based on these additional functions may not be available. These additional functions may include:
1. Additional Functions Based on Location Information:
When you enable location-based functions through the permission settings on your mobile device, we collect and process your location information to activate these functions, such as pairing with your Smart Devices. Additionally, we may collect information about:
a) your precise, real-time location, for example, when you choose to use automation scenarios to control your Smart Devices; or
b) your approximate geolocation when using certain Smart Devices or Services, such as the cleaning robot or weather forecast service.
Based on your consent, when activating the geofencing feature, your location information will be generated and shared with Google Maps services. Please note that Google has corresponding data protection measures, which you can review in the Google Data Processing and Security Terms for more details.
You can disable the collection and use of your location information by changing your mobile device settings ("My Settings – Privacy Settings – Enable/Disable Location Information"), after which we will stop collecting and using your location information.
2. Additional Camera-Based Services:
You may use the camera to scan codes by enabling camera permission to pair with a Smart Device, record videos, etc. Please note that even if you have agreed to enable camera permission, we will only obtain information when you actively use the camera to scan codes, record videos, etc.
You can disable the use of camera permission: "My Settings – Privacy Settings – Enable/Disable Camera."
3. Additional Services for Accessing and Uploading Photos/Videos Based on Photo Albums (Photo/Video Library):
You may use this function to upload your photos/videos after enabling photo album permission, to perform functions such as changing your avatar or reporting device usage issues with photographic evidence. When using photos and other functions, we will not recognize this information; but when reporting a device usage issue, we may use the photos/videos you upload to locate your problem.
You can disable the use of photo album permission: "My Settings – Privacy Settings – Enable/Disable Photo Album."
4. Additional Microphone-Based Services:
You may use the microphone to send voice information after enabling microphone permission, such as recording videos, activating the voice assistant, etc. For these functions, we will collect your voice information to recognize your command. Please note that even if you have agreed to enable microphone permission, we will only obtain voice information through the microphone when you voluntarily activate it in the app.
You can disable the use of microphone permission: "My Settings – Privacy Settings – Enable/Disable Microphone."
5. Additional Storage-Based Services (Android):
The purpose is to ensure stable operation of the App using storage permission. After you grant or indicate permission to read/write to your mobile device storage, we will access photos, files, crash log information, and other necessary information from your device storage to provide functions, such as informative posts or local crash log recording.
You can disable the use of storage permission: "My – Settings – Privacy Settings – Enable/Disable Storage."
6. Additional Notification-Based Services:
The reason we request your permission is to send notifications about the use of Smart Devices or Services, especially if you have purchased security services and need alerts or messages to monitor the status in real-time.
You can disable the use of App notifications: "My – Message Center – Settings – Enable/Disable Notifications."
7. Additional Alert Window-Based Services:
You may choose to link a camera to the App and require the App to display the camera image in real-time in a separate window.
You can choose not to use alert window information: "My Settings – Privacy Settings – Enable/Disable Alert Window."
8. Additional Bluetooth-Based Services:
You may enable Bluetooth functions after enabling permission, including controlling Smart Devices, obtaining status, discovering, and configuring Smart Devices. In these functions, we communicate with Smart Devices via Bluetooth. Please note that even if you have agreed to enable Bluetooth permission, we will only use Bluetooth for communication in these scenarios: displaying device status on the home page and Smart Devices panel; executing device control on the home page and Smart Devices panel; discovering Smart Devices on the home page and add-device page, and in the Smart Devices distribution network.
You can choose not to use Bluetooth: "My Settings – Privacy Settings – Disable/Enable Bluetooth Permission."
9. Additional HomeKit-Based Services (iOS):
You may enable related functions after activating HomeKit permissions, including discovering Smart Devices, activating Smart Device network setup, controlling Smart Devices, and checking device status. For these functions, we will process data with the iOS "Home" app through HomeKit. Please note that even if you have agreed to enable HomeKit permission, we will only use it in these scenarios: on the home page, to discover HomeKit devices and configure the HomeKit device network; in "Settings – HomeKit," to discover HomeKit devices and configure the HomeKit device network.
You can disable HomeKit permission: "My – Settings – Privacy Settings – Disable/Enable HomeKit Permission."
10. Additional HealthKit-Based Services (iOS):
You may proactively enable related functions after enabling HealthKit permission, including statistics for weight, height, running, and swimming. For these functions, we exchange data with the health-related functionalities included in iOS through HealthKit.
Data Retention
We process your Personal Data for the minimum period necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy, unless there is a specific legal requirement to retain the data for a longer retention period. We determine the appropriate retention period based on the quantity, nature, and sensitivity of your Personal Data, and after the retention period ends, we will destroy it.
When it is not technically possible to do so, we will ensure that appropriate measures are taken to prevent any further use of your Personal Data.
Policy Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect any changes in our data processing practices. If significant changes are made, you will be informed by email (sent to the address registered in your account) or via notifications in our mobile applications.
