Shenzhen VDL Power Electronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we") fully recognizes the importance of your personal information and will make every effort to protect the security and reliability of such information. We are committed to maintaining your trust in us and abide by the following principles to protect your personal information: the principle of consistency of rights and responsibilities, the principle of clear purpose, the principle of opt-in consent, the principle of data minimization, the principle of security assurance, the principle of subject participation, the principle of openness and transparency, etc. Meanwhile, we promise to adopt appropriate security protection measures in accordance with industry-recognized security standards to safeguard your personal information.

I. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
Personal information refers to various types of information recorded electronically or by other means that can identify a specific natural person's identity alone or in combination with other information, or reflect the activities of a specific natural person.

(1) To Provide You with Online Course Purchase and Online Learning Services
Business Function 1: User Registration
To create an account, you need to provide the following true information: your full name, mobile phone number, self-created username and password.
You may also log in to VDLPOWER using a third-party account (such as QQ, WeChat, Sina Weibo, etc.). In such case, you will authorize us to obtain the public information you registered on the third-party platform (profile picture, nickname, etc.). Upon your consent to this Privacy Policy, your third-party account will be bound to your VDLPOWER account, allowing you to directly log in and use our products and related services via the third-party account.
During the registration process, providing the following additional information will help us deliver better services and experiences to you: profile picture, job title, ID document, student ID document, and delivery address. However, failure to provide such information will not affect your use of the basic functions of the service.
The above information you provide will be continuously authorized for our use during your service subscription period. When you apply for account cancellation, we will stop using and delete the aforementioned information.
The above information will be stored within the territory of the People's Republic of China. If cross-border data transmission is required, we will separately obtain your authorized consent.
Business Function 2: Account Real-Name Authentication
In accordance with the provisions of Article 24, Paragraph 1 of the Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China, when you start using our products (or services), you are required to provide your real identity information, including your full name, ID card number, and mobile phone number. Where automatic verification is not feasible and manual review is required, you may need to provide a photo of yourself holding your ID card to verify your real identity. To ensure that you are the legitimate owner and user of the registered or used account, we will bind the information you provide to the account you register or use, so as to confirm your ownership and right to use the account. Please note that to ensure the account is always matched with your identity, once your real-name information is verified and bound to your account, the bound real-name information cannot be modified. Therefore, please make a final confirmation before deciding to provide your real identity information and bind it to the account you are about to register or use.
Business Function 3: Course Content Display, Personalized Recommendation, and Sending Promotional Marketing Information
(1) VDLPOWER will recommend and push content that may interest you based on your content subscriptions and algorithm-based decision-making mechanisms.
(2) Conduct internal data analysis and research, and use third-party SDK statistical services to improve our products or services.
The data we collect is based on your interactions with us and the choices you make, including your privacy settings and the products and functions you use. The data we may collect includes SDK/API/JS version, browser type, internet service provider, IP address, platform type, timestamp, application identifier, application version, application distribution channel, unique device identifier, iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA), Android Advertising ID, MAC address, International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI), device model, terminal manufacturer, terminal device operating system version, session start/end time, language and region, time zone, network status (e.g., WiFi), hard disk, CPU and battery usage, etc.
(3) Mobile phone number data is classified as sensitive personal information. You have the right to refuse to provide it, but this will prevent you from accessing courses and other teaching-related services.
When we intend to use your information for purposes not specified in this policy, we will obtain your prior consent.
When we intend to use information collected for specific purposes for other purposes, we will obtain your prior consent.
You fully acknowledge that we are not required to obtain your authorized consent to collect and use your personal information under the following circumstances:
Related to national security and national defense security;
Related to public security, public health, and major public interests;
Related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and enforcement of judgments;
Necessary for safeguarding the vital legitimate rights and interests of the data subject or other individuals where obtaining the individual's consent is impracticable;
The personal information collected is voluntarily disclosed to the public by the data subject or their legal guardian;
The personal information is collected from publicly disclosed legal information, such as legitimate news reports, government information disclosure channels, etc.;

Necessary for maintaining the safe and stable operation of the provided products and/or services, such as detecting and addressing product and/or service faults;
Necessary for legitimate news reporting;
Necessary for academic research institutions to conduct statistical or academic research for the public interest, provided that personal information contained in the research results is de-identified when the results are publicly released;

II. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

IV. How We Protect Your Personal Information

You have the right to access your personal information except for the exceptions stipulated by laws and regulations. If you wish to exercise your data access right, you can access it by yourself through the following means:
Account Information: If you wish to access or edit your personal profile information and payment information in your account, change your password, add security information, or close your account, you can perform such operations by accessing VDLPOWER.
Search Information: You can access or clear your search history, view and modify your interests, and manage other data in VDLPOWER.
(2) Correction of Your Personal Information
When you find that the personal information we process about you is incorrect, you have the right to request us to make corrections. You may submit a correction application.
(3) Deletion of Your Personal Information
You may request us to delete your personal information under the following circumstances:
If our processing of personal information violates laws and regulations;
If we collect and use your personal information without obtaining your consent;
If our processing of personal information violates the agreement with you;
If you no longer use our products or services, or you cancel your account;
If we no longer provide products or services to you.
If we decide to respond to your deletion request, we will also notify the entities that have obtained your personal information from us to delete it in a timely manner, unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations, or these entities have obtained your independent authorization.
After you delete information from our services, we may not immediately delete the corresponding information in the backup system, but will delete such information when the backup is updated.

Each business function requires some basic personal information to be completed (see Part I of this policy). For the collection and use of additional personal information, you may grant or withdraw your authorized consent at any time.
(5) Account Cancellation by Data Subject
You may cancel your previously registered account at any time by operating through the following means:

After account cancellation, we will stop providing products or services to you, and delete your personal information in accordance with your request, except as otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations.
(6) Restriction on Automated Decision-Making by Information Systems
In certain business functions, we may make decisions solely based on non-manual automated decision-making mechanisms including information systems and algorithms. If these decisions have a significant impact on your legitimate rights and interests, you have the right to request us to provide an explanation, and we will also provide appropriate remedies.
(7) Response to Your Above Requests
For security purposes, you may be required to submit a written request or verify your identity in other ways. We may first ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. We will respond within thirty (30) days.
In principle, we will not charge fees for your reasonable requests. However, for repeated requests beyond a reasonable limit, we may charge a certain cost fee at our discretion. We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require excessive technical means (e.g., developing a new system or fundamentally changing current practices), pose risks to the legitimate rights and interests of others, or are highly impractical (e.g., involving information stored on backup tapes).
In the following circumstances, in accordance with the requirements of laws and regulations, we will be unable to respond to your request:
Related to national security and national defense security;
Related to public security, public health, and major public interests;
Related to criminal investigation, prosecution and trial;
There is sufficient evidence to prove that you have subjective malice or abuse of rights;
Responding to your request will cause serious damage to the legitimate rights and interests of you or other individuals or organizations.
In the course of using our products (or services), you are responsible for keeping your personal information safe:
Do not voluntarily disclose your personal information, such as your personal account and login password, to individuals or institutions unrelated to our products (or services).
Do not use the personal information of others obtained within the scope of your rights and responsibilities for purposes beyond those agreed in the service contract; do not copy, forward or transmit such information to other individuals or institutions without the consent of the owner of the personal information.
If you violate your responsibilities and cause losses to yourself or others, as well as corresponding legal and contractual risks, you shall bear the corresponding responsibilities yourself, and we have the right to suspend the support for the above-mentioned "Your Rights".
VI. How We Process Children's Personal Information
Our products, websites and services are mainly aimed at adults. Children shall not create their own user accounts without the consent of their parents or guardians.
For the collection of children's personal information with the consent of parents, we will only use or publicly disclose such information when permitted by law, explicitly consented by parents or guardians, or necessary to protect children.
Although the definition of a child varies according to local laws and customs, we consider any individual under the age of 14 to be a child.
