Shenzhen Gosund Intelligent Technology Co.,Ltd. and its affiliates (collectively referred to as “we”, “us” or “GHome”) are committed to protecting your personal privacy. This Mobile Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) describes how we handle personal information and protect information privacy during your use of the following services, products and related mobile applications (collectively referred to as “Products”).
• GHome Mobile Application
(Applicable to version 3.18.0 and later) When you log out of your account or do not create an account, you can still use many GHome products or services, such as searching or browsing the features on the GHome mobile application or smart life application.
When you interact with our products, please be sure to read this Privacy Policy carefully and understand the purpose and security measures for our collection and processing of your personal data, including how we use, store, share and transfer personal data. In this policy, you can exercise your privacy rights, access rights, deletion rights, etc. to your personal data through our instructions.
When you agree to this Privacy Policy, or start or continue to use our products or services in an appropriate manner, and do not contact us to express the opposite opinion in an appropriate manner, we will regard you as fully understanding and agreeing to this Policy. For mobile applications of other brands provided by GHome, our customers will decide what personal information to collect through our products, so this Privacy Policy does not apply to the principles of other brands to collect or process personal information. We collect information based on the requirements of our customers, and the processing of such information is limited to providing the services agreed by the customer and us. If you are a user of our customers and you do not want customers who use our services to contact you, please contact the customer directly and inform them of your request.
Definition
In this policy,
Personal information: various information recorded electronically or otherwise that can be used alone or in combination with other information to identify an individual or reflect the activities of a specific individual.
Personal sensitive data: including personal biometric data, communication records and content, health information, transaction information, and precise location information. When we provide you with specific products or services, we will obtain your consent through prominent and clear notification before collecting your sensitive personal data.
Smart devices: refers to non-standard computing devices produced or manufactured by hardware manufacturers, with human-machine interfaces and capable of transmitting information over wireless networks, including smart home appliances, smart wearable devices, smart air purification devices, etc.
Applications: refers to mobile applications developed by GHome that help end users remotely control smart devices and connect to the GHome Internet of Things (IoT) platform.
What personal information we collect
In order to provide you with our services, we will ask you to provide the personal information necessary for such services. If you do not provide personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our products or services.
  1. Information you voluntarily provide to us
    Registration account information: When you register for an account with us, we will collect your account name and contact information, including your email address, phone number, username, and login credentials. During your interaction with our products, we will further collect nicknames, country codes, language preferences, or time zone information in your account.
    When you choose to authorize a third-party account to log in, we will obtain your shared account information (default system avatar, nickname, region information) from the third party and bind it to your GHome account for quick login. We will use your personal information in accordance with the agreement with the third party and the terms of sharing personal information in the privacy policy published by the third party, subject to compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    User feedback: When you use our services and submit feedback and suggestions related to the services to us, we will collect your email address, mobile phone number and feedback content (added pictures or videos), as well as the submitted problem logs, which will be used to help us handle your application problems and smart device-related failures in a timely manner.
    At the same time, depending on different application products and services, GHome will collect corresponding and necessary personal information in order to provide you with products and services.
    Information collected based on the additional functions provided
    In order to provide you with more convenient and higher-quality products and/or services and strive to improve your experience, we will collect and use your personal information in the following additional services provided to you. If you do not provide this information, it will not affect your use of the basic services of the GHome application, but you will not be able to obtain the user experience brought to you by these additional services. These additional services include:
    Additional services based on location information:
    When you enable the positioning function of your mobile device through system authorization and use the services provided based on location, we will collect and use your location information so that you can use the GHome application to pair with smart devices. And when you use our specific products or services (weather services/family management), based on your consent, we will collect real-time precise or non-precise geolocation information about you. When you use the geofencing function and create a scene to produce a location change, we will apply for background location permission to locate the user’s location to complete the user’s pre-screening automation capabilities. You can turn off the positioning service in the system of your mobile device to stop us from collecting your location information. Reasons for obtaining location permission in [Add device] (Android system only): Enter the add device, based on the function of searching for nearby devices, Bluetooth scanning is required. If you want to use the Bluetooth function in the application, you must declare two permissions. The first is the Bluetooth permission. You need this permission to perform any Bluetooth communication. The second permission that must be declared is the positioning permission. Because Bluetooth scanning can be used to collect user location information. Bluetooth needs to apply for positioning, otherwise it will affect the user’s device addition.

    Additional services based on camera/camera:
    After turning on the camera/camera permission, you can use this function to scan the code to add the device you purchased and shoot video. Please be aware that even if you have agreed to turn on the camera/camera permission, we will only obtain information when you actively scan the code and use the camera/camera to shoot. The code scanning function will collect information data from the light sensor to determine whether the flash needs to be displayed.

    Additional services based on photo album (photo library/video library) image/video access and upload:
    After turning on the album permission, you can use this function to upload your photos/pictures/videos to realize the function of reporting device usage problems and providing proof. When you report a device usage problem, we will locate your problem through the photos/pictures you uploaded.

    Additional services related to microphone-based voice technology:
    After turning on the microphone permission, you can use the microphone to implement voice functions, including shooting videos and waking up the voice assistant. In these functions, we will collect your voice information to identify your command needs. Please be aware that even if you have agreed to turn on the microphone permission, we will only obtain voice information through the microphone when you actively click the microphone icon in the App or record a video.

    Additional services based on storage permissions (Android system only):
    We apply to you for this permission in order to ensure the stable operation of the client. After you turn on the permission for us to read/write your device storage, we will read or write the necessary information of pictures, files, and crash log information from your device storage space to provide you with the function of information publishing or recording crash log information locally.

    Additional functions based on message notification permissions:
    We apply for this permission from you in order to push notifications about products or services to you, especially when you purchase related services and need to send you alerts so that you can capture real-time conditions.

    Additional functions based on “Floating Window” (Android only):
    We apply for this permission from you. When you bind a camera in the application, it can be used to display the real-time image of the camera in the floating window.
    Turn off/on [Floating Window] permission through the permission management settings of your mobile phone system
    Additional services related to Bluetooth technology:
    You can use Bluetooth functions after turning on Bluetooth permissions, including device control, device status acquisition, device discovery, and device network configuration. In these functions, we will communicate with terminal devices through Bluetooth. Please be aware that even if you have agreed to enable Bluetooth permissions, we will only use Bluetooth for communication in the following scenarios: display device status on the home page and device panel; control device on the home page and device panel; discover device and network configuration on the home page and add device page

    Additional functions based on binding to notification listener service permissions (Android only)
    We apply for this permission from you for the purpose of sending App messages to mobile smart devices synchronously after the smart device is connected to the App by listening to App notification bar messages.
    Turn on/off permissions through [Device Panel] - [Settings] - [Message Push] (default off)
    You understand and agree that the above additional services require you to enable access rights to your location information (geolocation), camera (camera), album (photo gallery), microphone (voice), internal and external storage, and “floating window” in your device to collect and use the information involved in these permissions. You can view the status of the above permissions item by item in your device settings, and decide whether to enable or disable these permissions.
    Please note that when you enable any permission, it means that you authorize us to collect and use relevant personal information to provide you with the corresponding services. Once you disable any permission, it means that you cancel the authorization. We will no longer continue to collect and use relevant personal information based on the corresponding permission, and we will not be able to provide you with the services corresponding to the permission. However, your decision to disable the permission will not affect the collection and use of information previously performed based on your authorization.
  2. Information we collect automatically
    • Device information: When you interact with our products, we automatically collect device information, such as the device’s MAC address, IP address, wireless connection information, operating system type and version, application version number, push notification identifier, log files, and mobile network information.
    • Usage information: During your interaction with our website and services, we automatically collect usage information related to visits, clicks, downloads, sending/receiving messages, and other use of our website and services.
    • Log information: When you use our application, system and exception logs may be uploaded, including your IP address, language used, operating system version, date or time of access, etc.
    Please note that separate device information and service log information are information that cannot identify a specific natural person. If we combine such non-personal information with other information to identify a specific natural person, or use it in combination with personal information, such non-personal information will be considered personal information during the combined use. We will anonymize and de-identify such information unless you authorize us or otherwise required by laws and regulations.
    • Location information: When you enable the positioning function of your mobile device through system authorization and use location-based services, we will collect and use your location information so that you can use the GHome application to pair with smart devices. And when you use our specific products or services (such as sweeping robots and weather services), we may collect real-time precise or non-precise geolocation information about you. Based on your consent, when you enable the geofencing function on the application, the application will generate information about your location and share it with the Google Maps service. Due to strict data protection measures, please refer to Google’s data protection terms for more information on protecting your personal data: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/gdprservices/. You can stop us from collecting your location information by turning off the location service in the system of your mobile device.
  3. Information related to smart devices
    • Basic information of smart devices: When you use smart devices connected to our products or services, we may collect basic information about the smart devices, such as device name, device ID, online status, activation time, firmware version and upgrade information, etc.
    • Information reported by smart devices: Depending on the different smart devices you choose to connect to our products or services, we may collect information reported by your smart devices. For example, a smart scale or fitness tracker may report your height, weight, body fat content (BFM), body mass index (BMI) and skeletal muscle content (SMM); a smart camera may collect images or videos it takes. Please note that when you actively agree to connect the GHome app with the Apple Health app, we will share your measurement data (only your BMI, height, weight and body fat % data) with Apple Health. The purpose of sharing data is only to measure and analyze health-related indicators related to you, and it will never be disclosed to other third parties. You can turn off the authorized connection between the GHome app and Apple Health at any time through the Manage HealthKit settings page.
    Purposes and legal basis for processing personal information
    We process your information for the following purposes:
    • Providing services to you: We process your account and profile information, device information, usage information, location information, and smart device-related information to provide the products and services you request. The legal basis for such processing is to perform our contract with you in accordance with our Terms of Use.
    • Improving our services: We process your device information, usage information, location information, and smart device-related information to ensure the functionality and security of our products, develop and improve our products and services, analyze our operational efficiency, and prevent and track fraud or inappropriate use. The legal basis for such processing is to perform our contract with you in accordance with our Terms of Use.
    • Non-marketing communications: We process your personal information to send you important information about services, changes to terms/conditions and policies, and/or other administrative information. Because such information is important, you may not be able to opt out of receiving such emails. The legal basis for such processing is to perform our contract with you in accordance with our Terms of Use.
    • Marketing communications: We may process your personal information to provide you with marketing and promotional materials related to our products and services. In the above cases, each email we send you contains instructions allowing you to opt out of receiving such emails. The legal basis for such processing is based on your consent. In addition, if you agree to participate in our sweepstakes, contests, or other promotions, we may use your personal information to administer such activities.
    • Compliance: We process your personal information as we believe necessary or appropriate to:
    (a) comply with applicable laws and regulations;

    Who do we share your personal information with?
    GHome only shares your personal information with you in ways that you are aware of. We may share your personal information with the following parties:
    • Disclose your personal information to third-party service providers who provide certain business-related services to us, such as website hosting, data analysis, payment and credit card processing, infrastructure provision, IT services, customer support services, email delivery services, and other similar services to ensure that they can provide services to us.
    • Disclose your personal information to customers and other business partners who directly or indirectly provide you with smart devices and/or the networks and systems you use to access and use our websites and services.
    • Disclose your personal information to affiliates or other third parties in the event of a reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or a portion of our business, assets or stock (including, without limitation, in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings).     To ensure the proper functioning of the App or to implement specific independent features, we may embed third-party SDKs within the App. Please note: The types of personal data processed by these third-party SDKs may change at any time due to upgrades, updates, or policy changes. You should refer to the latest relevant information provided on the official websites of such third parties or through other means. Furthermore, when you use services provided by third parties, we will ensure that sharing your personal information with such third parties is based on their obtaining your authorization and/or consent, or complies with other requirements of applicable laws and regulations. We will also strive to manage any information sharing with such third parties to protect the security of your relevant personal information. International transfer of collected information
To facilitate our operations, we may transfer, store and process your personal information in jurisdictions other than where you live. These countries may have different data protection laws. In such cases, we will ensure that your information is adequately protected through the following methods:

If you decide to send us a request by email, please indicate what information you want to change, whether you want your personal information to be deleted from our database, or what restrictions you want us to be subject to when using your personal information. Please note that for security reasons, we may ask you to verify your identity before further processing your request.
Request us to provide the method and instructions for withdrawing consent. During your use of our services, we process and use your personal information based on your consent or our legitimate interests. If you choose to object or refuse our use of your personal information, we will protect your right to withdraw consent in the following ways:

As mentioned above, you can change the device permissions obtained through the device system settings through [My]-[Settings]-[Privacy Permission Settings] in the application to withdraw your consent, including location, camera/camera, album (photo gallery/video gallery), microphone, Bluetooth settings, and message notification push related functions;
  2. For non-marketing communications that you agree to, turn off your choice through [My]-[Message Center]-[Settings];
  3. When you agree to the data analysis function, through [My] - [Settings] - [Privacy Permission Settings] - [Data Analysis] to close your selection;
  4. Unbind the smart device through the application, and the information you use the smart device will not be collected;
  5. Revoke your authorization to the third-party mini program through the third-party mini program [My] - [Settings] - [Cancel Authorization]; please judge: decide whether to retain this content based on the authorization pop-up window switch status, if the authorization pop-up window is turned on, it will be retained, if the authorization pop-up window is turned off, it will be output
  6. If you do not agree with the description in our “Privacy Policy”, we will regard it as you do not agree to actively provide us with personal information, do not agree that we master and process your personal information, and go through [My] - [Settings] - [Privacy Policy Management] - [Revoke] your consent, and then cancel your account, so that we will no longer master and process your personal information.
When you withdraw your consent or authorization, we will no longer be able to provide you with the corresponding services of the withdrawn authorization part. However, your withdrawal of consent or authorization does not affect the withdrawal of personal information processing previously carried out based on your consent.
You can exercise your personal rights without paying any fees. In accordance with the relevant requirements of local information protection laws, if your account service is in mainland China, we will complete the verification and processing of your needs within 15 working days; if your account service scope is outside mainland China, we will respond to your needs within 30 natural days (please modify according to the conclusion of Chapter 4).
Security measures
We take commercially reasonable physical, management and technical safeguards to maintain the integrity and security of your personal information. GHome provides a variety of security strategies to effectively ensure the information security of users and devices.
In terms of device access, we use Gosund’s proprietary algorithms to ensure data isolation, access authentication and authorization applications.
In terms of data communication, we support communication using security algorithms and transmission encryption protocols as well as commercial-grade information encryption transmission based on dynamic keys.
In terms of data processing, strict data filtering and verification and a complete data review process are adopted.
In terms of data storage, all confidential information of users will be securely encrypted for storage.
In addition to the above-mentioned technical security guarantees, GHome has also formulated a series of security guarantees at the system and control level, such as setting positions and responsibilities, holding security and privacy protection training courses, strengthening employees’ data protection awareness, controlling access rights and other measures to prevent data loss, illegal use, unauthorized access or leakage, tampering or damage.
If you believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure for any reason (for example, you believe that the security of your GHome account has been compromised), please inform us immediately by sending an email to service@gosund.com as follows.
If a security incident occurs that affects the security of your personal information, we will notify you as soon as possible through your reserved email address, phone number, message center push, etc., and inform you of suggestions for reducing or preventing related risks. If necessary, we will take corresponding remedial measures in a timely manner in accordance with the internal security incident emergency plan, and report to the relevant competent authorities in accordance with regulations.
Information Retention Period
We will process your personal information within the shortest period to achieve the purposes stated in this policy, unless it needs to be retained for a longer period of time according to specific legal requirements. We will determine the appropriate retention period based on the amount, nature and sensitivity of personal information, and we will destroy your personal information after the retention period ends. If we are unable to destroy the information for technical reasons, we will take appropriate measures to prevent your personal information from being used further.

GHome attaches great importance to the protection of personal information of minors. If you are a minor under the age of 18, you must obtain the written consent of your parents or legal guardians before using our services. GHome protects the personal information of minors in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of each region, country or region. Please note that if we find that we have collected personal information of minors without the prior consent of verifiable parents or legal guardians, we will try to delete the relevant personal information as soon as possible.
