About Flight Risk
Flight Risk is the trading name of Flight Risk Co Pty Ltd (ABN 36 681 393 457), headquartered at 22 Ewan St Mascot, NSW, Australia. We design, sell and service electric bicycles and related accessories. The FR Escape App (the App) lets riders locate, lock, receive alerts from and manage their Flight Risk e‑bikes.

1. Purpose of this Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Flight Risk collects, uses, discloses and stores your personal information when you use the App or our related services. It complies with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

3. How We Collect Information
· Directly from you when you create an account, pair a bike or contact support.
· Automatically via the App, bike hardware or cookies/SDKs.

5. Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose your information:
· to service providers who host servers, process payments or provide analytics under strict confidentiality;
· to law‑enforcement agencies when required by law or to protect life or property;
· to buyers in connection with a corporate transaction (with safeguards); and
· overseas (e.g. reputable cloud providers in the USA, EU or Singapore). Where we transfer data abroad we use contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Location history older than 12 months is automatically de‑identified unless needed for an ongoing inquiry.
7. Security
We employ industry‑standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES‑256). Access is role‑based and logged. Despite safeguards, no method of transmission is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
Subject to verification, you can:
· request access to or correction of your personal information;
· request deletion (subject to legal retention duties);
· withdraw consent to location tracking (may disable core features);
· object to direct marketing; and

The App is not directed to persons under 16. If we learn we have collected data from a child without parental consent we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We will post any changes in‑app and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be notified at least 7 days in advance. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
